What we solve

A clear operating model for every connection.

RDM can centralize RDP, SSH, VNC, web, VPN and other entry types. The real work is deciding how teams name, group, secure, own, and maintain that inventory. We build those rules with your operators.

01 / Stabilize

RDM support

Configuration review, datasource troubleshooting, connection issues, client behavior, and escalation-ready diagnostics.

02 / Organize

Vault architecture

Folder conventions, shared and user vault boundaries, ownership, inheritance, and lifecycle standards.

Design vault access →
03 / Adopt

Team enablement

Role-based playbooks for administrators, service desk staff, engineers, and read-only consultants.

Build onboarding →
How engagements run

Evidence first. Changes second.

We start with a small representative slice of your environment, document the intended state, and validate it with the people who launch sessions every day.

01

Observe

Inventory data sources, entry types, friction points, ownership, and security requirements.

02

Model

Define naming, folder, credential, permission, and support standards.

03

Pilot

Apply the model to one team and verify common RDP, SSH, web, and VPN workflows.

04

Operate

Hand off playbooks, decision records, and a sustainable support path.

Built for real teams

From a crowded connection list to a usable control surface.

Northline supports internal IT, MSP operations, regulated teams, and distributed infrastructure groups that need repeatable access—not another shelfware project.

  • Inherited permissions with intentional exceptions
  • Credential references instead of unnecessary duplication
  • Entry templates and naming rules teams can follow
  • Offline-mode expectations documented by datasource
  • Upgrade and troubleshooting evidence captured consistently

“Northline gave our admins one vocabulary for vaults, owners, and escalations. The biggest win was not a feature—it was ending five different ways of doing the same task.”

— Elena Brooks, Director of Infrastructure, Alpine Freight Systems

FAQ

Useful answers before the first call.

Are you Devolutions?

No. Northline RDM Operations is an independent US consultancy. Devolutions and Remote Desktop Manager are trademarks of their respective owner.

Can you sell or issue product licenses?

No. We help teams evaluate operational requirements and point them to official Devolutions purchasing channels. We do not issue activation keys.

What should we bring to a discovery call?

A short list of data sources, platforms, key entry types, team roles, and two or three workflows that are currently slow or unreliable.

Does RDM support offline work?

Offline capability depends on the datasource and configuration. Some functions remain unavailable offline, so we document expected behavior before rollout.
